Almanac in Iraq

September was a landmark month in the development of Russo-Kurdish relations. At the beginning of the month Russian delegation of the recent wars veterans from the «Redut - Anti-terror» organization have visited the Iraqi province of Dahuk in Kurdistan and met with the General Muhammad Mohsen Saleh at the town of Ammadia.

The purpose of the visit is to strengthen cultural ties between two nations, Russia's assistance to the Kurdish business people to overcome the syndrome of war. On 9th of September the leadership of the «Redut-Antiterror», the city administration of Ammadia and representatives of military forces "Peshmarga" signed an official agreement of intent on cooperation in the fields of security, construction, tourism and culture.

Few words about General Muhammad Mohsen Saleha. Gen. Muhammad Mohsen Saleh had fought against Saddam Hussein from the age of 15 years, since 1979 he gad fought in the detachments of «Peshmarga» forces, was wounded 6 times and in his 30-s had became a brigadier general and now holds the post of first secretary of the Kurdistan Workers' Party in the province of Dahuk. The General not only the military man, not only the party leader, buthe is versatile and highly educated person, he is engaged in literature, involved in film and television projects. During the meeting with General Muhammad Mohsen Saleh, a Kurdish side were handed copies of our «The Art of War» Almanac, which caused the great interest among the leadership of the province and the military.
